What we tested
Verify that scheduled work produces evidence of changes and recovery, rather than treating task completion as proof of overall system health.
What we did
- Schedule an approved-version update of a signed dummy package and independently verify the installed version.
- Reboot only the test VM through the scheduler, then verify the new boot and service.
- Transfer an encrypted ZIP through SFTP and compare the destination SHA256; check backup, decryption and SQLite restore to a new file through the local API.
Test results
The approved dummy package changed from version 1.0 to 2.0. Reboot produced a new boot identity and services returned. The destination copy matched SHA256; the SQLite flow restored the expected row values while preserving the source. A one-off scheduled report was also verified.
The patch was a data-only fixture, not proof that every OS/application patch is safe. Encryption and local flows were tested within recorded limits, without a disk-loss simulation. Real WhatsApp, Telegram and email delivery remains untested; no external messages were sent.
